About the studio: Great design encapsulates form, proportion, space planning, function and ingenuity to create a balanced, harmonious sense of place. At HesterStudio, our projects enjoy a large variety of style and scope, with projects ranging from luxury new residential homes, to custom condominium renovations to multi-family repositioning.
Our story: After training at Cal Poly Pomona and Harvard Graduate School of Design, Tom Hester used his award-winning design skills to found HesterStudio in 1998. In 2002, Shannon Hester joined Tom not only as his spouse, but also as co-designer with the firm. Her skills in graphic design translated seamlessly into interior design and complement Tom’s formal training in architecture and interior design. Mike Van Den Heuvel joined the firm in 2023 as a senior designer.

FAIRMONT PRINCESS RETREAT
Design is in the mix and this luxurious primary bath gets it just right. Classic travertine mixes with chrome accents creating a fresh and calming space.
ARCADIA ORGANIC
Old and new; hard and soft. Nelson Bubble Pendants are a soft contrast to the hard edged metal bedframe. Together there is warmth with gentle edges.
